Fylivo Mac Android is a desktop application for managing files on an Android device from a Mac. The app is designed so that data transfer and processing take place locally between your devices.
Information we collect
We never collect file names, file contents, photos, folder paths, photo locations, Android device information, or advertising identifiers. The only data that leaves your Mac is the optional anonymous usage statistics described below, and only if you allow it.
Anonymous usage statistics
On first launch the app asks whether you want to send anonymous statistics. If you decline, nothing is sent. You can change your choice at any time in Settings → Anonymous statistics. If you allow it, the app sends:
- which features are used: device connected (USB or Wi‑Fi), file transfer finished (direction, an approximate number of files such as “2–10”, and whether it completed), folder created, renamed or deleted, full-screen photo or map opened, favorite added, language or theme changed, diagnostic report exported;
- app version, macOS version, app and system language, and screen size;
- a random identifier created by the app, used only to count unique users. It is not linked to your Mac, your Apple ID, or your Android device.
Your country and region are determined from the connection's IP address when the statistics are received. The IP address itself is not stored.
Website statistics
fylivo.app counts page views, the referring website, browser, operating system, country, and clicks on the download button. It does not use cookies or tracking across other websites, and it does not store IP addresses.
Both the app statistics and the website statistics are processed by Umami, an open-source analytics system that we host on our own server. The data is not sold or shared with third parties.
Local processing
To provide its features, the app may process locally:
- the list of files and folders on the connected Android device;
- the device model, Android version, battery level, and storage information;
- photo thumbnails and metadata, including capture coordinates when present in a file;
- language, theme, scale, favorite folders, and cache preferences;
- technical logs used to diagnose errors.
This information remains on your Mac or Android device and is used only to provide app functionality.
Access to your Android device
The connection uses Android Debug Bridge over USB or your local network. You enable debugging and approve the connection on the Android device. Fylivo does not gain remote access to your device and does not route its contents through cloud servers.
Cache and diagnostics
Thumbnail cache and diagnostic logs are stored locally. You can clear the cache in the app settings. A diagnostic report leaves your device only when you choose to export and send it to support. Review the report before sending it.
Third-party components
The app includes Android Debug Bridge from Android SDK Platform Tools. The app contains no advertising SDKs and no third-party analytics or tracking services.
Storage and deletion
You can remove cached data through the app settings. Turning off anonymous statistics stops all further sending. To remove remaining preferences, uninstall the app and delete its associated data on your Mac. To request deletion of statistics already collected, contact us and include the app version and the approximate date you used it. Files you transferred between devices must be deleted separately.
Children
The app is not designed to collect information from children and does not knowingly collect personal information from its users.
Changes to this policy
If our data practices change materially, we will update this page and its effective date.
